(Not So) Dry Country Girl Style

This morning we woke up to find that Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts fame started following lovesthat on Twitter. How excited were we? Here’s a little nugget about us: we love country music, and always have (in fact, we were at Rascal Flatts’ “Bob That Head” tour in 2008 and got to see Taylor Swift as the opening act before she was big). Since then, the genre has become much more mainstream with Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum all over the Top 40 airwaves.

These days country-chic style is where it’s at, and we’re there with our cowboy hats on. Here’s a look at some of our inspiration and favorite pieces.

Floral print + ruffles = country perfection.

Festival Face Painter Dress: $44.99

If it’s good enough for T-Swift, it’s good enough for us!

Turquoise Taylor Dress: $88

A white flowy dress is classic country style.

Pretty In Poppy Seed Dress: currently $43.99 (reg. $62.99)

Make + Model Plaid Flannel Nightshirt: $38

Who cares if this is supposed to be a nightshirt? We think this would look amazing with leggings and boots.

Frye Melissa Button Knee-High Boot: $328

They aren’t cheap, but they’re worth it. With amazing craftsmanship, they’ll last forever and never go out of style.

Lauren by Ralph Lauren Harbridge Saddle Bag in Lauren Tan/Chestnut: $228

We love the contrast of this bag’s trim. The color combo makes it super-versatile.

Tarnish Cowboy Hat: $29

We’re of the opinion that everyone should own a cowboy hat.

And of course, a little Pinterest inspiration:
