Chic Travel Attire Made Easy

Not long ago, traveling was a thing of  glamour and people dressed to the nines to travel by trains, planes and automobiles. While waiting to board my plane last week, I couldn’t help but notice how things had changed as I took in a sea of yoga and sweat pants.

I’m for comfort as much as the next person, but I don’t believe that looking put together and being comfortable are mutually exclusive. Just take a look at Victoria Beckham who looks über chic (as always) at Heathrow airport in a dress, tights and ballet slippers.

It’s simple, really. There are two foolproof ways to look fab while jet-setting:

1. Mix and match jeans, boots or sandals, a comfy top, and scarf

2. Pair a dress with a blazer, jacket or cardigan

Finish off your look with a classy carryall like this Joyrich Quilted Boston Weekend Bag ($143).

If you’re feeling particularly glamorous, throw on a pair of over-sized shades and leave everyone wondering if you’re a celeb in what Ashley calls “look at me but don’t look at me” shades like these:

Tom Ford “Cecile” Oversized Round Sunglasses: $380

A little effort can go a long way. It’s easy to forget, but worth remembering.
